AYOCATHY-Recommended Businesses

AYOCATHY-Recommended Businesses

Small Business Saturday will be on Nov 26th this year, but I encourage you to support “small businesses” year round because mighty efforts run “small businesses”.

Since launching AYỌCATHY last year, I’ve developed an immense appreciation for all the effort, care, and love that goes into running a business. So, I’ve put together this guide to recognize and support fellow business owners. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but here are a few you can support for the upcoming holiday season as you gift others and yourself!

1 -- Blue Water Essentials

Blue Water Essentials is owned and operated by Michelle, a National Health Consultant and an Aromatherapist! BWE hand makes all natural ingredients for your spa and beauty needs. Products for skin, hair, body, home, and pets. Each product is made in small batches to ensure the highest quality, with natural and organic products and without unrecognizable ingredients.

All products are amazing, but my personal favorite are the natural soaps.

2 -- b.luX Candle Company

b.luX Candle Company was founded by Patricia, chief candle maker! b.luX candles are handcrafted with a blend of beeswax and premium fragrances containing essential oils. And only uses 100% natural fiber wicks. From molding and creating cement vessels to hand pouring each beeswax candle, b.luX has a high standard of quality!

Check out the recent fall and holiday scents, but my favorite scent will always be Mango and Coconut Milk :) And I absolutely adore the candle coasters, with an option to customize the engraving.

3 -- Treats by Sade

Treats by Sade was founded by Sade in 2015. Treats by Sade specializes in supplying frozen pre-baked Nigerian pastries such as Sade's pies and sausage rolls, and various other snacks. Made with fresh ingredients, the treats are delicious snacks, savory, or sweet and give you a taste of Nigeria.

The spicy beef pies are a best seller, but I’ve been enjoying the turkey sausage rolls lately!

4 -- Tresses by Dream Less

Tresses by Dream Less is owned and operated by Le’-Aishah, a Licensed Cosmetologist and Cranial Prosthesis Specialist. Tresses by Dream Less makes custom sewn hairpieces, with a special passion for helping those with conditions that cause hair loss, such as Alopecia, Cancers, Lupus, etc.

You can shop ready-made units, or custom order your unit, and also shop accessories. I personally recommend the edge control!

5 -- ShopConsciously

ShopConsciously was founded by Mpho, a South African born, California native who’s passionate about helping to lift women out of poverty. ShopConsciously is a fair trade marketplace featuring 100% handmade products by South African artisans (read their stories).

You can shop various collections of apparel, accessories and homegoods. The fringe hoop threaded earring is a best seller for a reason!!

6 -- The Nu Essentials

The Nu Essentials is owned and operated by Jalilah. The Nu Essentials celebrates all things self care! From hand poured candles to self care journals, to drink glass cans with positive messages, this is a one-stop shop for self care needs.

Check out the collection of self care items! The safe space candle smells amazing!

But wait, there’s more!
